Info

What they wanted.
Our clients were at a crossroads – do they sell their original family home and downsize, or can a renovation cater for their next life phase? After some early design concept explorations, they chose to stay.
What we did.
Architecture, Interiors and Styling.
How it went.
We maintained the original floor plan, but reconfigured each room’s function and location, allowing us to respect Summerhayes’ vision, but cater to their current lifestyle. We developed a monochrome palette and layered it with natural materials like oak, sisal and marble. We drew attention to the home’s light-filled spaces.
What we love most.
Custom blackened steel windows and doors to revive the home’s architectural heritage in a sophisticated and timeless way.
Collaborators.
The homeowners.
Photography, Meghan Plowman.
Styling, Featherhorse Studio.
