The brief for this renovation asked for a modern, contemporary and timeless design that met the needs of our client (a retired couple) and appealed aesthetically to a future younger buyer’s market.
The home was a 1970’s style townhouse located in Crawley with stunning river views.
We used both natural and artificial light as a key decorative element in the space. By creating high level slot windows, skylights, hidden lighting, material finishes and selecting the correct white tones we were able to manipulate the path and extension of light.
As a passionate entertainer, our client wanted an expansive and functional kitchen to host her extended family. We altered the orientation of the kitchen, removed a wall to the dining room and opened up the space, maximising the breathtaking river views. The stand out feature in the kitchen was the Douglas and Bec pendant light from New Zealand father and daughter design duo.
